What longevity medicine is

Longevity means long life. Longevity medicine is prevention with one aim: staying healthy as you get older. It looks for the risk of degenerative diseases while you still feel healthy. In degenerative diseases, tissues or organs lose function over time.

A detected risk is not a diagnosis, and no one can promise a longer life.

Who a longevity consultation is for

Longevity medicine is for people without acute symptoms who want to plan ahead for their health. At the first consultation, we establish whether an assessment is right for you. If you have acute symptoms, please see your GP (family doctor).

Longevity diagnostics in three steps

We agree with you individually how long the process takes and how many appointments you need.

  1. Personal consultation

We talk about your health, your goals and your medical history. We also clarify whether an assessment makes sense for you.

  2. Examinations and analysis

Targeted examinations help to spot risks early. After the consultation, we decide which ones to carry out.

  3. Individual plan

Finally, you receive personal recommendations for your health.

Longevity medicine and dental check-ups

Longevity medicine adds to regular check-ups of teeth and gums, but it does not replace them. Your mouth is part of prevention too. According to the Swiss Dental Association (SSO), periodontitis increases the risk of heart, circulatory and respiratory diseases. Our guide explains how gum disease and heart disease are linked.

Costs and health insurance

We do not quote a fixed price. The costs depend on the scope of the assessment, and we discuss them with you in a personal consultation.

Compulsory basic health insurance (Grundversicherung) pays for early detection examinations only in the specific cases that a federal ordinance lists. So check with your health insurer beforehand, including any supplementary insurance (Zusatzversicherung).
